I’m thrilled to announce the publication of my second book:
Fashion Goes Tech: How Technology is empowering retail businesses
2020 was a difficult year for many of us. We all lived different situations and realities, During 2020, in the middle of the lockdown in Spain, I became a father for the second time, making it perhaps more joyous for me than for others.
Retail had already been changing but Covid-19 accelerated the digital transformation. So, I thought it was the right time to take my experience, do additional research, and look at how digitization can improve businesses. Difficult times are often also times for opportunities and learnings.
Fashion Goes Tech started as a short article about how to fight Covid-19 from a strategical business perspective. What was supposed to keep me busy during a night or two, became my hobby during the next few months. The result is a book about how digitization can reinforce each phase in the fashion supply chain cycle, from concept to design to retailing, from a business strategy perspective. It includes best practices and out-of-the-box digital solutions from Nike, Stella McCartney, Zara, Gucci, Patagonia, Farfetch, Heuritech, Bigthinx and Nextail, just to mention a few.
I would like to thank Pablo Benito (Pebestudio) for the impacting book cover, Marc Morillas and Sharjeel Sajid who contributed to the marketing and IT chapters, respectively and Ghislaine de Rochefort who contributed to the editing. Also Alex S., Albert B., Juan M. and Edo Z. The Fashion Retailer conversations were essential to broaden my perspective on how technologies are making businesses more effective. I’m therefore grateful to Ivan Abad Iglesias, Julián Villanueva, Erin Cavanaugh, Yi Zhou, William Bernal, Shivan Desai, Chandralika Hazarika, Tony Pinville, Célia Poncelin, Renato Mosca, Morten Mogelmose, Lauryn Vaughn, Ramir de Porrata-Doria, Alex Rich, AJ Mak, Fabien Bernard, Aaron chi…
